Operation Christmas Child
Northwood Academy partners with OCC to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to children around the world. In partnership with Samaritan’s Purse, shoeboxes are packed with Christmas gifts and sent out to children all over the globe.  Students can track their package and can even correspond with the recipient. Northwood Academy brings smiles to the faces of over 700 children worldwide during the Christmas season.

Thanksgiving Turkey Outreach
Northwood Academy partners with Northwood Church to bring Thanksgiving meals to nearly 1,000 families in our local community each year.  

Missions Month
March is Missions Month at Northwood Academy. 

The Pre-school supports Water Missions International (https://watermission.org/) during March Missions.  In Chapel, we learn that children in other countries have to walk a long distance each day simply to get water to drink . . . and it is most often not clean.  In class, we learn about other countries, the people who live there, and the missionaries who serve them. 
 
We celebrate with “Pre-school Walk for Water” at the end of the month   We also collect money online and in the classrooms every day.  The money we raise in our classrooms goes to support Water Missions and nothing else.  Every dollar . . . every penny we raise is celebrated. This non-profit does amazing, life-changing work around the globe.
