From the upper school principal
At Northwood Academy Upper School, we are passionate about our students. As a Christ-centered school, we are focused on building strong, positive relationships among students, staff, and families. We preserve high academic and behavioral excellence standards while ensuring our students have a middle and high school experience that will create fond memories to last a lifetime.
Our mission is to engage, empower, and equip our students to become the men and women God has called them to be. From the beautiful school and athletic facilities to the sense of community, our students flourish in our positive school culture. We partner with families to educate students who will be servants, stewards, scholars, and productive citizens with a mind for truth and a heart for God.
Our highly-qualified teachers and staff seek out and provide opportunities for our students to grow academically, spiritually, and emotionally to support them in becoming the individual God has called them to be. Northwood Academy Upper School is known for its strong academic program, ultimately offering our students the opportunity to earn an internationally recognized AP Capstone diploma. We also believe in encouraging students to become well-rounded by building their God-given talents through athletics, performing arts, and after-school opportunities.
Northwood Academy graduates transition to college with confidence in their abilities to independently manage their studies, make solid decisions from a Christian worldview, and are equipped to fulfill God’s purpose and plan for their life. Our graduates report the ease in transition and their success due to the rigor and high expectations in and out of the classroom, as well as the focus of a Christ-centered education.
I welcome you to come and take a tour of Northwood Academy Upper School. You will find the Upper School a warm, friendly, and electric environment with a rigorous academic menu, and a plethora of opportunities outside of the classroom. You will sense the Charger pride our students experience during their middle and high school years. We would love to partner with you to propel your student to their highest level of success as they grow and become all God has called them to be.
In Christ,
