All are invited to this special event with guest speaker Will Hutcherson hosted at Northwood Church.
Do you sense your child might be struggling with something but you just can't put it into words? There are countless resources available for addressing your child's physical and academic needs, but what about their mental and emotional needs? Youth anxiety and depression rates are rising. No parent wants their kid to suffer from despair. This event is based on the book SEEN and contains essential information about the dynamics of despair in kids and teens in a clear and understandable way. At this event, you will find helpful information about why your son or daughter might be struggling, but also comfort in knowing how you can help.
Parents, teachers, small group leaders, and caring adults will learn about different tools of connection and the critical steps they can take to help their kids and teens feel seen and promote healing.
Will is an author, speaker, and pastor for over 15 years. Over the past several years he has become increasingly passionate about finding practical ways to bring hope to kids and teens who are facing increasing amounts of anxiety, depression, and despair. This led to him starting Curate Hope, a non-profit that focuses on suicide prevention, mental health awareness, and partnering with schools, churches, and parents to help heal despair in teens.
Will seeks to build a bridge between the local church and the schools and families that are navigating this mental health crisis. Every year, he speaks in public schools across the country, letting students know that there is always hope.
Will is a co-author of the Amazon best-seller, SEEN: Healing Despair and Anxiety in Kids and Teens Through the Power of Connection.
