To gain admission to Northwood Academy, new applicants must:

 
 
  1. Complete the Northwood Academy Student Application Form.
  2. Kindergarten through 3rd grade students are admitted based upon an in-house readiness test, parent-student interview, previous report card, and past year's standardized test scores (if applicable).
  3. All students fourth through eleventh grade must take the Total Reading and Total Math portion of the Stanford 9 Achievement Test. In addition, upper school students must complete an essay at testing time.
  4. A parent-student interview is required after the testing has been completed.
  5. Ninth through eleventh graders must meet the above requirement and must be able to satisfy the Northwood Academy graduation requirements based on our available college preparatory curriculum.
  6. Twelfth graders must meet the above requirements and must receive board approval for admission.

FOR NEW STUDENTS ONLY:

  1. NEW STUDENT APPLICATION & TESTING FEE ($40) is due with Student Application Form. This fee is non-refundable.

  2. The ENROLLMENT FEE ($250) is due at enrollment upon successful completion of the entrance interview and admissions testing. This fee is non-refundable.

NOTES

  • ENROLLMENT FEE is to be paid at the time of re-enrollment. A student is added to the roster when this fee, accompanied by the Business Office Card, is received in the Business Office. This fee is non-refundable.

  • Returning students, their siblings, and members of Northwood Assembly are given priority enrollment until March 14. Priority enrollment is forfeited if the Application Form and $150 fee are not received on/prior to March 14.

  • TUITION is due on the first of every month, June through May.

  • Past due payment(s) will result in suspension of services until payment is made.

  • Prior to the transferring of student records and transcript, all school and day care fees must be paid, and school-owned materials returned.

  • Student's use of Northwood Day Care Center (extended care or Summer’Scool ) services is charged separately.

  • Members of Northwood Assembly are eligible for a 20% tuition discount. This discount is approved annually for active members (evidenced by faithful attendance and systematic tithing).
