Lower School Athletics

Northwood Academy's Athletic Department provides a comprehensive program with a strong emphasis on the physical, spiritual, social and skill development of each athlete. This program is under the direction of an athletic director with a complete coaching staff.

Comprehensive athletic facilities include a 14,500 square foot multi-level gymnasium complex complete with a weight area, an indoor running track, locker rooms, and a suspended maple wood athletic floor. Ten acres of athletic fields include a soccer and baseball field.

Future success is built by sponsoring youth development teams in soccer, basketball, baseball and softball at the lower school level.

Lower School

The purpose for the lower school athletic program is to allow students to try different sports, begin developing skills, to have fun playing with their classmates and to learn good sportsmanship. Academic restrictions are the prerogative of the parent. There is a fee to play each sport, which provides each participant with a uniform. The cost of each sport is identified on the sign-up form.
