Lower School Girls Win Championship!
NORTHWOOD
ACADEMY CHARGERS WIN 6 - 4 ![]() |
| The Northwood Academy Lower School Girls Basketball team won the season-ending tournament on Saturday, March 8, 2003 in North Charleston. The girls won the Pee Wee Division of the North Charleston Parks and Recreation Department Youth Basketball League. The excitement was heart-stopping as the girls were down 4-2 with less than two minutes remaining in the game. Two quick baskets by Samantha Chubb made it 6-4 in favor of the Northwood girls. That turned out to be the final score of the championship game. Saturday’s game was exciting but equally exciting was the triple overtime win that took place on the previous Tuesday to put the Lower School Chargers in the championship game on Saturday. Thanks to Coach Steve Hildebrand and the girls for a job well done. Congratulations.
